The Black Panther Apartments is a 79-unit, 100% affordable housing complex that brings much-needed low-income housing along with retail space for community-owned businesses to West Oakland, laying a cornerstone for the resurrection of this once-thriving community.

Sustainability
The Black Panther incorporates various sustainable elements into its design. Over 20,000 SF of solar panels generate clean energy for the community.

Noise Deflection
The façade of the building undulates to deflect noise coming from the neighboring BART train. Units on the upper levels facing the Bart station have the view without the noise.

Design
Built with concrete and steel framing throughout and triple pain windows, this building also has a state of the art Vapor Mitigation System.
